Enabling Ajax changes FCK Editor behavior

Hi,

I'm having a problem with Ajax and FCK Editor.
Enabling Ajax (Host->Host Settings->Other Settings section) doesn't cause any problem, except in one case: when the user edits his Biography.

The problem is, editing the Biography and submitting the page doesn't apply the changes. But, if I edit the Biography, click the save button (inside the FCK Editor) and submit the page, the changes are applied. Like I said, just here this "error" occurs, editing text/html modules for example I don't need to click the save button.

By the way... I've discovered that if I disable Ajax, just submitting the page applies the changes... (I don't need to click the save button...)

Does anyone knows how can I fix it?

Ps: my current version of DNN is 4.8.2.

Tks in advance,
Vitor.

Re: Enabling Ajax changes FCK Editor behavior

This is a known bug of FCK editor. It'll be fixed in the next release.

Meanwhile, you can overcome this by turning off AJAX in the UserAccount module (don't turn AJAX off in Host Settings!)

Go to Module Definitions, find "User Account", click the edit icon, scroll down to the Controls section, click the edit icon on the left of the module control, and uncheck the box "Support Partial Rendering?"

Re: Enabling Ajax changes FCK Editor behavior

Great! I'm glad that this a known bug... I've disabled Ajax in the User Account module and It works now!

Anyway, I'll wait the next release.

Thank you very much!

Re: Enabling Ajax changes FCK Editor behavior

I've followed the steps above in the Module Definitions to no avail...

Any suggestions?

Also, where is this Save button inside the editor? I can only see the Update link.

Thanks!

Re: Enabling Ajax changes FCK Editor behavior

I am having the same issue. I've unchecked the partial rendering in the User Account control, but updates in the biography are not saved.

Is there another solution?

Thanks.
