First item is empty in Dropddown List Property

Our goal is implement a dropdown list with 3 items.

I added requirements via User Profile settings, but registered user sees first item in list as empty.

I would like to set a default item or display a message like "Please select your interest".

The problem was happened first at 4.8.0, i upgraded to 4.8.2 to fix the problem but didn't help. I also tried to create another list property to ensure that there is a problem or not, same problem happened.

Please advise, thanks.

Regards.
