Unexplained Re-Direct from correct URL to server address

Hi.

We are experiancing something a little weird with a large instillation of DNN.

We built the site on a remote server with the url svc155.bne152v.server-web.com. Once all the testing was complete, we deligated to the address www.sydneyfishmarket.com.au (ie changed the DNS and A records to reflect this)

We also have a Thwart SSL certificate for www.sydneyfishmarket.com.au and have enabled SSL through the DNN settings.

Now here is the weird bit - on some pages, the address reverts back to svc155.bne152v.server-web.com/pagename... when using the main snapsis navigation. When this happens, if you navigate to the sercure page (online booking form under seafood school), we get a certificate error.

I have svc155.bne152v.server-web.com set as a portal alias (which I thought should fix this!)

Any thoughts would be a big help!

Thanks,

Marney

Re: Unexplained Re-Direct from correct URL to server address

If you remove the portal alias does the navigation not switch to the old URL anymore? (be sure to restart the application after removing the alias)

If you're just getting a certificate error, you will get that because you have a cert for the valid domain, not your temporary domain, correct? That you won't fix unless you get two certs afaik.

If you have content on your site that has hard coded links to the test URL in text/html modules, try our free Engage: F3 module from www.engagemodules.com it can search/replace text/html content for old URLs and replace them with your new URL, or whatever text you enter in the form.
