Problem running(trying) local DNN bak of live installation w/multiple portals using Vista withoutIIS

Hi, I have a problem when downloading a DNN live installation to my local machine. This instance of DNN has multiple portals, in the past I would give to each portal an additional alias of something like “Localhost/Website1”, ”Localhost/website2”. I also have a local copy of the database running in my local machine using sql server 2005. While using XP I would use IIS to assign virtual directories to each one of the portals: “website1’, “Website2”…, I have a dev machine now running Vista Basic which doesn’t come with the IIS user interface of ver 6 or 7 or any…

what else can I do in order to create those virtual directories for the different portals? Am I hopeless? Would anybody give me an idea of how else can I do that without using the IIS user interface?

Thanks

Re: Problem running(trying) local DNN bak of live installation w/multiple portals using Vista withoutIIS
I have a way to fix this but is not fun nor practical, and that is simply to create a copy of the DNN files for each portal, and naming the folder just as the alias being used, of course this creates two or more ambiguous versions of what was supposed to be a single local developing backup copy of a single DNN installation…  yeah yeah I know I should have got compatible vista version with a full IIS 7.0 manager version.   I’m in the process of updating from vista basic to business. But still I’d like to know if there is another way to do this

Thanks
