How do I pull a site out of a DNN installation to put it in another?  

We have a number sites set up under one DNN installation. If we wanted to seperate a site out and put it on it's own instance how would we go about doing that? Is there an easy way to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • duplicate the installation (copy files and database to a different location)
  • adjust IIS/DNS to point to the correct installations
  • delete all portals which aren't needed any longer from inside DNN: Host >> Portals (i.e. extracted portal from orig. install and all others from copy).
