Page Templates

DNN 4.8.2 upgraded from 4.6.2.  I am not able to see any .template files in the File Manager.  When creating a new page, the .template files in the \Portals\0\Templates are not available.  Attempted to move .template files to another folder, still not seen by File Manager or available to new page builds.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

-Jeff

Re: Page Templates

1. Does the file really exist? Is it in the correct extension? (xyz.page.template)

2. What tool did you use to move the file? If you used FTP, you must synchronize your site's folders afterward.

3. If the above does not work, back up your templates, delete the Templates folder, re-create that folder and upload the files via File Manager.

I'm not sure what your problem is, but I can confirm that Page Templates work fine in DNN 4.8.2

Re: Page Templates

there are no page templates delivered with DotNetNuke and AFAIK the format changed, i.e. you need to create them yourself by using the page export button in the control center.

Re: Page Templates

1. Correct extension

2. Local network folder, copied the file. Syncronized the files.

3. Created a /Temp folder, copied the .template file there, resynced, files do not show up in File Manager.

Re: Page Templates

Used the page export button and confirmed by looking at the file folder on the server that the .page.template file was created.  Can not see the file in the File Manager, resync did not change this.

Not quite sure where to go with this.
