question about the right module to use?

Hello, I saw a presentation about DNN at the DevTeach conference in Toronto and I would like to try out DNN but I have piece of functionality I would to know if DNN has please?  I would like to know if DNN can support/present digital pictures?  I would like to upload directories of pics from one machine to another and have the framework create the thumbnails and pages to present to the logged in user.  Is that possible?  I looked at Media but it seems to be in beta, not sure if that's applicable.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: question about the right module to use?

there is no appropriate module bundled with the core, but there are a number of third party gallery modules with multiple features, check out the marketplace and Snowcovered.com.

Re: question about the right module to use?

My personal recommendation would be the Ventrian Simple Gallery module.  It's very easy to use.

In addition, the subscription to Ventrian that lets you get the Simple Gallery also lets you get all of their other modules.  (I subscribed to Ventrian specifically for the News Articles module.)
