Re: Advanced Settings won't stay open

I've got three users now all with problems using the visiblity buttons in DNN and all using McAfee. What a pain in the butt!

I'm going to install the vile application on a virtual pc to see if I can duplicate it.

Re: Advanced Settings won't stay open

I have been having the same problem! I noticed it starting last week and it's been driving me nuts.

When I click to expand the "advanced settings" tab it will open for about 2 seconds and then close back up. I have noticed this problem only in IE 7 and a standalone version of IE 6 that I have running on my computer. FireFox works fine. I'm using windows XP. I do have McAfee installed, but these buttons were working fine for months before they suddenly decided to stop working.

I happened to install a few modules the day I noticed the problem, but that might just be a coincidence. I have read about his problem in other threads on this forum but no one seems to have found a way to fix it.

If anyone could help shed some light on the solution I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Re: Advanced Settings won't stay open

Update: I disabled a bunch of settings in McAfee, cleared all the cache, temporary files and cookies from IE, restarted my computer and the problem went away.

I'm guessing maybe my problem was related to McAfee afterall. Still, it'd be nice to know exactly what's going on here.
