Print button on container. How do I configure it?

Ok, this is the problem I'm having:

I wrote a dot net nuke module. This module stands in a typical, default, container, that sports a little print icon at the bottom. By clicking on the print icon, the module itself loads in a separate page and then I can print it.

The problem that I have is that when I do that, the instance of the module that gets printed is the default one (when the page is loaded) and not, by any means, the one I want printed.

I wrote a student report module, with which you select a student from a pulldown list and a complete report is displayed afterwards. It makes no sense to have the module being printed with only the pulldown there.

I've heard you can somehow tweek the cache or some other info regarding the print button.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Many, many thanks ;)

L

Re: Print button on container. How do I configure it?

it depends whether you pass selected student as querystring parameter in the URL. in this case you can use free TemplatePrint SKO from dnnjungle.vmasanas.net.

Re: Print button on container. How do I configure it?HI, S

HI, Sebastian.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure I get it.

The module does not use any query strings.

So, should I just incorporate this TemplatePrint Object in my skin?

But I don't want it on the skin itself, only on the module container.

Does that make sense?

Many thanks!

Re: Print button on container. How do I configure it?

After reading the TemplateModule thing you recommended, I must say what I want is different.

I'm not interested in adding skins to the module (the graphics are already part of it). I just want to be able to print what's on the screen, at that time.

Any other suggestions?

Many thanks, though :)
