Login: Username text-field won't remember the username

Hi.

Thank you for reading this.

This issue is not about the "Remember me" cookie. It's about the login username text-field. On previous version of DNN (and on just about any website in the world) the Username text-field remember the username type, and if the browser supports it, the corrosponding password. Now users have to type the username everytime they return. How do I get the login to work like previous version of DNN (and on just about any website in the world)?

Thx
/j

remembering text on login page has been suppressed for security reasons, for details please read Cathal Conolly's blog.

Re: Login: Username text-field won't remember the username

Then we should disable Remember me at all, what is the purpose of displaying that message, if it does not work for end users?

Re: Login: Username text-field won't remember the username

This has nothing to do with the "Remember me" checkbox. Please read the first post again.

Sebastian, thx for your reply. Is there a hack/way to get this to work again? I would want to enable this on ssl pages, but not the common pages.

Ps. Thread/post/forum notification dosen't work (but that's a completely different issue )
