XML Web Services Integration - How to?

We need to integrate an external application into DotNetNuke via web services.

The external application shoud function correctly through DotNetNuke and should support Input and Output.

We want to manage digital signature requests and payments through this setup.

How should we proceed?

Which modules would help us for this integration. Please share your experiences.

Thanks.

Is ListX or XMod provide similar functionality?
