Upgraded to 4.8.4 - CAPTCHA No Longer Displays?

Today I upradded from 4.5.1 to 4.8.4.  Everything went smoothly, except that I no longer have a CAPTCHA code showing for Login.  I went into User Settings and made sure the checkbox was ticked off for "Show Captcha For Login".  I restarted the application, I cleared the Cache, I even went so far as doing an iisreset.

Still no CAPTCHA displays on my login page.

Any idea?  Is this something that everyone has encountered?

Thanks,

Mark

Re: Upgraded to 4.8.4 - CAPTCHA No Longer Displays?

OK, I figured out the answer here.  If your CAPTCHA has gone away upon upgrading from an earlier release, here's what you gotta do:

Under Admin/Authentication, there is an option to enable CAPTCHA as well.  So, two places MUST be checked off on to allow CAPTCHA.  Under User Settings (click the checkbox to allow either CAPTCHA for Registration or for Login or for both) and then under ADMIN/AUTHENTICATION, enable authentication at the top and also click the checkbox for CAPTCHA.

Once I did that, I now see CAPTCHA.  You should as well.

Re: Upgraded to 4.8.4 - CAPTCHA No Longer Displays?

Mike - I just upgraded to 4.8.4 from 4.8.1 and I found a weared situation; all works fine including captcha; but captcha is no more case sensitive; its acting case INSENSITIVE; previously on 4.8.1 it was not the case.

Can you please check it out on your side to verify whether this is a silow problem or a issue.

I await your reply,

Sincerely,
