How to move the DDN from a child directory to the root directory

Hello,

I finished working on my first DDN website and now its time to move from a child directory to my main site (root directory). But it does not work, is there any settings I need to make or do I need to modify some scripts before I do that?

thanks,

Check your portal aliases, you may have http://domain.com/virtualdirectory, but you will need to add http://domainname.com

Re: How to move the DDN from a child directory to the root directory

I have a slightly different question. I want to move my DNN web site from the current child directory to another directory name. For example, the current location of my DNN website is at www.mydomain.com/home and I want to move it to www.mydomain.com/DNN.

Re: How to move the DDN from a child directory to the root directory

You have to add the new virtual folder to the Portal alsiases.  Then add a new virtual Folder to the IIS.  You can also running more alias adresses in this way.
