Can you have 2 DNN installations on the same server?

Hi,

is it possible to have two dotnetnuke installations running on the same web server.

(both running off a different database on the same SQL server 2000)

thanks
mark.

Of course you can. Actually you can have as many installations as you want, as long as your server can handle the traffic.

Re: Can you have 2 DNN installations on the same server?

Yes, but that has already been said.

It was mentioned that you could have as many as you wanted as long as you had a server beefy enough to handle lots of databases.  That is something you also have to consider when or if you choose hosting.  Right now I have IXWebhosting and their database server on which I am on has so many databases I can't even complete a DNN install anymore.

Always beware of hosting company's with unlimited SQL database space.  It hurt me in the long run.
