Troubleshoot Email not working on Vista - IIS 7  

<p>Hi all,</p> <p>Running DNN 4.6.2 on Vista with sp1. IIS 7 installed in my development environment.</p> <p>I want to troubleshoot why emails are not going out ?</p> <p>IIS 7 SMTP Email: smtp server = localhost&#160; port = 25&#160; Auth settings: Not Required</p> <p>DNN Host Settings:&#160; Advanced Settings &gt; SMTP Server Settings</p> <p>smtp server and port:&#160; localhost:25</p> <p>Clicking the Test link returns ERROR:</p> <p>There has been an error trying to send the test email. The error is:<br /> Failure sending mail. Unable to connect to the remote server</p> <p>Any help would be most appreciated ! LA Guy</p> <p>&#160;</p>

Do you check whether your local  SMTP server work properly?
