Filtering News

Hi

We would like to filter news in our portal, depending on the user preferences. We want to add a tag to the xml file and filter news on that tag. Is it possible??

Thanks

Re: Filtering News

are you talking about a news feed - which module do you use to generate it?

Re: Filtering News

Thanks Sebastian for your reply

To be honest, we don´t know how to do it.

We have to create a rss feed and we have to be able to filter the rss feed depending on the user preferences, so we think the best way to do it is adding a tag.

If anyone has a better idea... please.... let us know ;-)

Re: Filtering News

I can't tell exactly what you're trying to do, but I think you're just trying to set up a site with article management and display filtered content elsewhere on the site, such as on the homepage. I suggest looking at a ready-made solution for this like Ventrian.com's News Articles.
