how to have menu only for the admin and the host screens

Hello,

I do not want the top menu to appear for any of the other pages, I just want it to appear only when the admin or the host logs in. How do i go about doing it.

Thanks

Re: how to have menu only for the admin and the host screens

i found one way of doing it where you do it by applying a blank skin to the other pages. Is there a way to do it programatically where I hide the menu if the user is not admin or host.

Thanks

Re: how to have menu only for the admin and the host screens

If I understand the question... I don't think you can.  I had to do something similar which might work for you.  Uncheck "Include in Menu" (which will of course make it not show for the admins either, which I assume you want for convenient access to the pages, yes?). You would then have to either access the pages you need via the admin>pages section or if you want the pages to be easier to access, add a links module and make it administrator only. For the site I had to fix like this, I used Ventrian's Child-Links menu which will auto-create the page links for you based on your selected hierarchy (child pages, peer pages, etc.).

Hope that helps.
