Problem creating a banner - URL is too long for DNN?

I have a new DNN portal going and am trying to take advantage of the Banner module. The problem I am having is on the Vendor screen > Banner Advertising section.

This is an example of the URL I was given by my affiliate to use.

http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=everythicom-20&o=1&p=40&l=ur1&category=green&banner=1CRVQ3TBFFCTM27366R2&f=ifr

The problem is that it won't fit in the image / link text field on the DNN Vendor > banner advertising screen. It looks like that field truncates everything longer than 100 chars, and unfortunately for me, all of my links are just a few chars longer than that.

Further down that same screen is a URL field, and that one does take my long url without issue. So what I have is a broken image on an otherwise working banner. Taking it down for now and will put the banner back on the old fasioned way (sans banner module).

Any ideas?

M

Have you tried pasting that into a html module ( picture ) then click on the pic and add your url, then copy source code, go to banners and paste the code into the text section, up the top dial up script, name it as per normal
