Just new

Hi,

I am just new to all this and am very frustrated.  The web host I have installed DNN for me that was good but I can't get to any editing of the site.  How do I get to the page edit?

Re: Just new

Did you log in as a Host or Administrator account?

Re: Just new

Rebecca,

It is difficult to explain, not knowing your level of skill or knowledge.   Login with the admin account for your site, and after login, at the top of each page you should have a button for mode at the top left (view or edit).   On the top right, there will be a control to expand or collapse the control panel for the page.

When in edit mode, the control for any modules on a page are visible (small triangle).  Mouse over the triangle to see the menu on a module.  On a Text/HTML module for example, you will see an option for Edit Text.

With the control panel open, you have options for adding pages, change page settings, add modules to pages and more.
I am sorry if this is too basic.

Re: Just new

Thank for getting back to me.  I cannot log in as either admin or host it tells me login failed.  It will only let me log on as myself and then there are no other options.

Re: Just new

Thank you for helping.  My skill level is very new.  I have a domain name and a host then tried to install DNN myself couldn't figure it out.  My web host then installed DNN, I only have a home page I can only login as myself, admin and host fail.  My site looks like the DNN home page only I can not edit anything I downloaded the starter kit from DNN but have no idea how to put it on my site.  I am feeling very out of my element but thought this was the easy way to make a web site for someone who is just new any help is greatly appreciated, and you can be as basic as you want.  Thanks again.
