Google indexing problems with 4.x
Modified By Donavon young on 5/22/2006 9:02:38 AM)

None of our sites get index beyond the home page.

Upon reviewing the log files googlebot is able to throw this error: "Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory". which leads me to believe after so many errors it gives up.

I don't wanna hear that it's a referring links issue. That only effects page rank not indexing.

Anyone using 4.x that has had their site successfully indexed?
Anyone experience this too?

Re: Google indexing problems with 4.x
I'm having the same problems.  The spiders are coming by, but they aren't making it past the homepage.  Is this a bug in the release?  Has anyone had this same problem with DNN 4?

Re: Google indexing problems with 4.x

Could this be an issue with resoving the "Use Friendly Urls?" setting. I have my site set to use friendly urls. In my logs it shows the googlebot requesting the old format(ie: /default.aspx?tabid=36).   So how could google be looking for the old format when it's set to use friendly url's?

Anyone have any input on this?
