UK Accessibility Laws

Hi,

I have a slight problem. I have developed a site for a customer which is complete and ready to go live. They have now said that the site MUST BE Single A compliant. From looking at the internet, it looks like it is a legal requirement in the UK.

So, can my site be made Single A Compliant? Which means it must have a non javascript version?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Trevor

Re: UK Accessibility Laws

I've taken a (quick) look at your site via http://www.etre.com/tools/accessibilitycheck/ , and it does have failings (43), but none in the "must fix" category. Take a look at http://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/tools/complete to identify tools, which will give you a more detailed break down of the issues (they mostly appear to skin issues, which should be easy to fix e.g. replace FONT tags with CSS, remove alignment attribute from entities and supply the details in css etc.)

Please note, WCAG Level A allows javascript - check http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10/full-checklist.html for the list of what is required and where.
