Can No longer insert Modules

I am building a portal on a Godaddy server using DNN 4.02, i have built 3 other sites with no problems but I continue to have problems with this particular site when i have a skin applied that i got from snowcovered.

What happens is that sometime after the skin has been applied I will no longer be able to insert modules, i don't get an error message it just flakes out and i get a weird drop down list that is blank.  I don't know what is causing it but i have reinstalled the application multiple times from the godaddy host manager and i continue to get this error but have only noticed it happening after i apply the skin.  I spoke with the group that made the skin but they say it is my installation.

any advise would be appreciated.

Re: Can No longer insert Modules

Based on what you are saying - can you confirm that the site works every other time when installing modules - eg.. same module - different skin, no problems?  If you can then it's really a matter to take up with the skin designer.  It's easy to point a finger and tell people it's your problem but if your'e not getting that problem on any other skin or module or site, then you might need to check that you've got the right version of skin to the dnn installation.

At worst you can ask for refund and find another skin.  If there were containers to install as well then perhaps you need to check they are installed too, although that would bring up a totally different error.

Have you tried any other skins apart from that one?

Re: Can No longer insert Modules

basically i can only recreate the error once that skin has been applied.  to make sure it doesn't come back i had to reinstall the installation via the Godaddy hosting manager.

i have tried doing this web about 4 times now.  The first thing done is setting the skin.  I would normally only get a few pages done before the site blows up.  This last time i got about 90 percent done with the site before applying the skin and then a few modules later it blew up.

the web is located at http://www.mtbocomputers.com/web

Does anyone know of way to fix the problem besides reinstalling the whole DNN installation and losing all the info i already uploaded.

thx

Matt
