Modifying User registration

I would like to modify the user registration page; could someone help me with the following questions:

1. Where do I go to change/add the text on the registration form (like the "Note" under "Preferred User Information")

2. Where do I add the text for a question icon for the fields I add

3. Where do I make modifications to the emails that are being sent out upon registration, approving/rejecting access to the portal, etc.

4. Is there a way to add some checkbox, button or something, where users have to accept certain terms before they can be registered?

All of this and I'm sure I might come up with couple more questions as I try to modify this thing ;)

Thank you,

Waldis

Re: Modifying User registration

please note, that this area has mayor changes in DNN 3.3/4.3, so please specify the DNN version you use.

1. use the language editor from admin (for current portal) or host (global) menu: /admin/users/ and /admin/security files

2. language editor from admin menu

3. language editor: /admin/security and /global_resources

4. AFAIK no

Re: Modifying User registration

Thank you for the reply!

Is there a file that I can back up so I could restore my mods if I make an upgrade in the future?

Thanks,

Waldis

Re: Modifying User registration
all changes in admin menu (V3.3.x/4.3.x only: and in host mode NOT system in host menu) get stored in separate files that do not get overwritten. Have a look into the localization doc , included in the documentation package, for details.

Re: Modifying User registration

Thank you!

I keep forgetting to write down that these questions are related to the DNN version 4.3.3
