Multiple panes (Content panes)

How do i create a TopPane, LeftPane, RightPane,  BottomPane besides the main ContentPane.  I tried <div class="RightPane" runat="server" id=RightPane"></div>.  And then i also created <Object><Token>...</Token></Object> and tried with or without the skin.xml.

But the panes dont appear in the website. Even with #RightPane {}, #LeftPane etc... { attributes} on the skin.css. I know this is elementary to you guys and i am not a DNNCreative subscriber. HELP please.

Re: Multiple panes (Content panes)

It seems that you've done it right. The simple principle is that if you want it to appear on your page as a pane, just call it to runat="server". It doesn't matter about the name.

<div id="myCustomPane" runat="server"> </div>

Although ContentPane is always required to be included in skin.

Re: Multiple panes (Content panes)

You are right Cuong, there's just a little bit of a delay before the panes show up in the "panes" drop down list.  I just let it sit for a while before further tweakings and they are all there now.  THANKs!!!

Re: Multiple panes (Content panes)

Is it possible to add another pane to the Host and Admin pages?

I tried to add a TopLinksPane and it doesn't show.
