Include Image in Skin

Hello All,

I'm new to this whole DNN thing, and I'm trying to create a custom skin for my company, I can get images to place from my css stylesheet, however I can't seem to find a variable or some way to insert an image just into the HTML. I am building my skins with .ascx files, I'm a long time C# ASP.NET programmer, so that isn't a problem, can anyone guide me in the right direction. Basically I just need a way to get to the path for the currently loaded skin, and then I can add the image file name.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks in Advance.

Jeremy

Re: Include Image in Skin

Thanks for the quick post.... When I do this, I get this error message on the skin....

Could Not Load Skin: /Portals/_default//skins/libertywareskin06-2008_launch_home/libertyware_home.ascx Error: C:\Websites\DotNetNuke\Portals\_default\skins\libertywareskin06-2008_launch_home\LibertyWare_Home.ascx(5): error BC30451: Name 'SkinPath' is not declared.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
         Jeremy

Re: Include Image in Skin

I figured out that problem, I needed to have the control declarative at the top of the page, but now I get a different error that states...

Critical Error:
The Controls collection cannot be modified because the control contains code blocks (i.e. <% ... %>).

Please Help.

Jeremy

Eh, where did you add the image? Normally this should work and you shouldn't have to declare anything... Try to add the line I posted to a copy of the  DNN_bleu  skin as a test. (but not inside any of the contenpanes)
