Skinning the forum module only

Hello all,

I am pretty new to developing and designing DNN in general let alone trying to redesign individual elements/modules within DNN.  So far I've developed a pretty basic understanding of skinning DNN as a whole and have begun to make improvements for my company's portal with success.  I am, however, having some trouble figuring out how to redesign/skin the forum module, I need to give the forum menu a tabbed appearance as well as polish up the coloring and other design elements(icons, etc.) in order for it to be a better fit for my needs.

Where should I start and what files should I look for if I am just wanting to alter/skin the forum?

Thank you,

M. Capan
