Re: Pass data from dnn to flash

Hey Mike,

Quick question for you about your flash module.  When embedding flash into my skins I usually use flashobject.js such as this:

<script type="text/javascript">
 var fo = new FlashObject('/Portals/_default/Skins/Synergy/office.swf', "fotester", "228", "320", "8", "#FFFFFF");
        fo.addVariable("pagename", '<dnn:PAGETITLE runat="server" />');
    fo.addParam("wmode", "transparent");
        fo.write("flashcontent");
 try {
  document.execCommand("BackgroundImageCache", false, true);
} catch(err) {}
</script>

So basically I want to know can I use the value of my skinobject (<dnn:PAGETITLE runat="server" />) with your module as I would in this instance?  It might simplify things if I could.

Re: Pass data from dnn to flash

Hi James,

I have never tried that before.  You can enter variables in the digFlash admin, so try entering <dnn:PAGETITLE runat="server" /> into the digFlash admin and see if it works.

Thanks,

Mike
