Cant Set Different Portal & Admin Skin

Hey,

I would like to be able to set a different skin for the admin section then the rest of my dnn site. I have wated the beginner tutorials from dnn creative and noticed this was possible as shown in the tutorial.

When going to try and do this myself in my site, I noticed that the section looked a little different (im assuming the tutorial was done a while ago) - I have the latest version of dnn downloaded yesterday.

Anyway I can see before you apply a skin there are two check boxes -> Portal & Admin - and I have tried just checking one of them, however after I click 'apply' on a skin they both become checked and the skin just appliaes both in admin and in portal.

Am I doing something wrong here? I have tried editing the skins via the admin menu and the host menu.

Thanks.,

Re: Cant Set Different Portal & Admin Skin

I'm assuming you're under Admin or Host -- Skins - and selecting there.  That sets the default skin for the entire portal.  Where you want to go is Admin - Site Settings - and expand "Appearance"  -- There's  a dropdown there for the admin skin

Host and Site simply denote where the skin was uploaded.  If uploaded under Host - Skins - the skin is available under "Host" - and if you uploaded the skin under Admin - Skins - it'll be available under "Site"
