Skinning contest!

I hope I'm not steping on any toes at DotNetNuke corporate by posting this.  If I am please let me know as it's posted with good intentions.

Calling All Designers! Skinning/Template Contest!

Information

I would like to increase the number of free skins out there for the DNN community. Everyone is pretty cool out there, but there is a serious lack of totally free skins, other than nina's (dnnskins.com). Her skins are great, but I know there are some creative people out there. So, I wanted to put together a contest for people to be able to showcase their creativity. This contest is strictly for fun, and is being used as a way to generate more traffic to the site, and bring the DNN community together. All experience levels are welcome to join - you do not have to be a skinning expert to participate.

Contest Rules

  • One entry per person (no company entries allowed).
  • Deadline to enter is March 31, 2008.
  • Winning entry wins $200.00 (must have paypal account).
  • All entrants must own the rights to the skin, and must provide an open source license to the skin.
  • Customize using default modules, if extra modules are required they must be “DNN Reviewed” certified safe modules.
  • All completed entries should include full web layout, including sample content.
  • All entrants caught using malicious code will immediately be kicked off the site and all files will be deleted.
  • Voting will begin April 1, 2008 and will only take place once 10 entries are received. If by March 31, 2008 less than 10 entries are received, the contest will continue for another 30 days or until the minimum is achieved.
  • Winner will be announced April 20, 2008.
  •

    To Enter:

Sign up for free demo portal which will include skin upload permissions, and portal admin Here.
After you have your portal, make sure to register on dnnreactor.com and post a link to your entry  on our "skinning" forum, so we know that you are participating.

Well, I already modified it to prevent skin upload permission..so it may be a snag :->.  A faulty container skin seemed to bomb the app pool, haven't figured out exactly why, or confirmed yet.  But the rule has been changed to have the person email me the zip for inspection first :->.

I got alot of response from my demo portal module, actually DotNetNukes demo portal files made into an installable module.(http://www.dnnreactor.com/Resources/Downloads/tabid/108/Default.aspx

Baby steps I guess...but my learning curve has sped up pretty quick, or whatever the proper way to say that is.  Alas I cannot spell or write proper english...Good think my friend is an english major and she gets to "edit" everyting I type on the actual website hehe.
