How can I make my Homepage reside outside of DNN

Basically, the homepage of my website does not have any DNN functions. The layout and the menu on the homepage is different to the menu on the subpages, this is basically for presentation. Once you click off of the homepage, all of the subpages are DNN. Because we are not willing to compromise on the look of our homepage and with the restrictions of DNN skinning, we want the homepage to be separate. To anyone's knowledge, can this be done? Please shed some light if you can! Thanks so much :)

Re: How can I make my Homepage reside outside of DNN

sure, you can either use a plain default.html as default document which links to DotNetNuke in same folder or you can integrate with a "home page application" in root folder ("default.aspx") and install DotNetNuke in a virtual folder beneath. First will be easyly done and only requires to add default.html as default document in IIS web site configuration, I suggest to place all elements (images, scripts) in a subfolder, which is easy to remember for you (e.g. "homepage"), so you do not get confused on upgrades or get overwritten elements by dnn files with same name.
