Is it possible to builld a menu like this (screenshots inside)

Hello experts,

is it possible the build  a menu like this?

The first image shows the menu without a selection; after clicking "UserGate" our designer wants it rendered like the second image - he doesn't want "mouse-hover effects" but exactly this layout after the page has reloaded:

It's not the colors, margins, borders ... that's all working already; it's the technique for the submenu. I hope it's clear what my problem is.

Is it possible to do that job and - if yes - how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Peter

That is totally doable.  I have not tried this with the DNNMenu or SolPart menu but the third party CSS based menus like HouseMenu or CSS Navmenu handle this scenario quite easily.

With HouseMenu I wasn't successful - now I'll give CSS NavMenu a try.

@all: is there no way to do it with DNNMenu?

Should work with housemenu example here" www.ayuka.nl (items have no borders there, but that's easy)

Thanks a lot for the info, Timo. But unfortunately I can't get it work.

Can you give me an example css file and - if needed - a JavaScript with instructions for implementing? I'm not a great CSS expert.
