Div contentpane

Recently I've started to make skins with only divs. Before i've made skins with tables. My knowledge about divs is not very high. I've a problem with the height of divs where the panes are injected in. I've made a div called content to place the all the other divs for my panes. This div's position is set to relative. All the divs with runat=server statement are placed in this div content. The position is absolute so i can set the top and the left positions. The div content has a blue background. The background of the panes are white. If my panes are filled with a long tex this is now problem. All these divs have a height:auto; The problem is, if i have a pane with 2 lines of text, my div content with the blue background is very short. I want use a min-height like 600px so my div content with the blue background is also good visible. How can i do this. I've made a example with some simple tables.

Div called content with blue background

Re: Div contentpane

I've solved this by using floated divs in my div content. Position is relative en height is auto. This works fine.

Re: Div contentpane

Just a friendly piece of advice when working on a CSS based layout use relative and try to stay as far away from absolute as possible. Absolute just doesn't work well with the overall flow of DNN, cause of its dynamic nature. Not that it can't work you just run into a bunch of odd quirks.

Re: Div contentpane

With a good use of clear attribute and positionning flow, there is no problem about using Absolute with Dnn.

Cheers,
