Missing Skin

I have a new 4.8.2 installation.  I installed a skin. I can find the skin to use it on the site; however, I cannot find the skin when I look in host file manager in the skin folder.  I have cleared cache and restarted the installation; I've tried installing the skin a second time and I have synchronizing the files; but I can't find the new skin!

Re: Missing Skin

Are you installing from the site admin menu or the host menu. If you install it at the site admin level then it will not show up in the host.

Re: Missing Skin

I installed from host. I found that I had to synch the folders with recursive on before I could find the skin. I'm not sure why; but it did fix the problem.

Re: Missing Skin

Thanks, CarolAnn. I was wondering why I couldn't see my skins in file manager. Your tip did the trick.

(You might consider putting a check mark icon on this thread, showing: solved).

This is an interesting observation.  I have never had to do this in the past.  You should report this to Gemini.  If they can reproduce this behavior, and the offending code is still in Cambrian, you may be responsible for getting a bug fixed.  ;)
