Anyone? I'm trying some Firefox teaks because I found out that it has memory leaks that can cause some problems. Other than that I'll have to try changing hosts. There's got to be a better answer though.

Have you checked the cache setting on each module?  Try removing/disabling caching at the module level.

Re: Error updating ANYTHING - have to click multiple times

I know it can be a lame remark, but have you tried it on other computers (or from another network). I am seeing a kind of related behavior on my vista laptop (with McAfee installed). In firefox pages often do not refresh, and in IE7 the minimize/maximize controls behave weird. Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution. I have seen add blocker tools do some very strange stuff.

Re: Error updating ANYTHING - have to click multiple times

My site has reached the point where I can't get anything to work without clicking about 20 times (no exaggeration). This is true of navigating and filling form fields (when I choose an item from a combobox that does a post-back it either just refreshes the page or it works and then the page does the next post-back it loses all of the data that I input).

I looked at my server's CPU usage when I'm picking an item from a combo box and it goes up to 100%. Could this have anything to do with it? Would not enough memory cause this kind of problem (my server is a Pentium III with 512 MB RAM)?

This is really frustrating... I have a lot of time invested in this site and I really need to know what is going on.

Re: Error updating ANYTHING - have to click multiple times

I can totally feel your FRUSTRATION! I've been struggling with my own issues for the last couple of weeks (not exactly related to yours though!)

Anyway, I have one DNN site on reinvent also so I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I've been mainly happy with them, but there were a few things that bugged me, like the inability to create a support ticket for about the past year or so, and the fact that they want to charge me an extra fee for every little thing I ask them to do.

So for the new sites I am creating, I went with Infosaic. I have been very impressed with them so far, and the prices is pretty comparable to reinvent. If you are considering a move that might be an option.

Also, 512mb isn't very much ram. Ram is so cheap, why not bump it up. I never do any graphic or development with less than 2g ram. However, someone else had a good point that you might want to see what happens on a different computer before you spring for the extra bucks.

Hope things get worked out for you!

~B
