Skinning or Replacing the DNNToolBar  

Has anybody tried skinning the DNNToolBar (the basic toolbar that is used for in-page editing).

If someone has had some luck I would like some pointers. I understand that the image can be swapped out from the CSS but i was hoping for more control than just swapping an image out of the CSS.

Has anyone used a different tool bar or placed a RTE for in-page editing
