Installing 3rd party skins, how do the panes work?

If you purchase a skin that has a different pane layout than the default DotNetNuke layout, how do you make it work?  Especially with pages that are built in like the user profile pages ?

Re: Installing 3rd party skins, how do the panes work?

All the content that is in panes with a name that doesn't exist in the new skin will be moved to the pane named contentpane.

Re: Installing 3rd party skins, how do the panes work?

One problem is skins that don't include a pane that matches the default DNN skin pane name.  They must always contain a Contentpane for the modules assigned to panes with names that no longer exists.  Basically, apply a new pane then move modules to the new panes from the Contentpane.
