Dynamic Modules displaying info from other users 

I've developed a search module which has multiple search fields and displays a datagrid based on the users input.  Everything works great as long as only one user is working with the page.  If two users are trying to use the page at the same time, data is getting confused between users.  How can I get the module to have a unique instance for each user?  Is this a caching issue? or another problem?
