Error Installing Modules
Hi all,
I'm trying to add new modules on our portal that is running on the live servers. It works fine when I'm adding this module on our localserver but it gives us the following error when we try to add it on the live website.
I asked our host to give full permissions to the aspnet worker and said that he did. However, we still get the following the following error when we try to upload the modules:

StartJob Begin Sql execution
EndJob Finished Sql execution

StartJob Creating files
Failure ExceptionSystem.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path "E:\". at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String str) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateModuleFile(PaFile File, PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateFiles(PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.Install(PaFolderCollection folders) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Re: Error Installing Modules

Ask you host to check the drive root (e.g. E:). The ASPNET process must also have READ ATTRIBUTE privileges (not read file) on the DRIVE ROOT  for the DirectoryInfo class in .NET to work correctly.

Re: Error Installing Modules

Good luck getting what Cathal wants you to do.  I struggle with my host for nearly a month before I said to heck with them.  Not to plug any hosts at all but there are some hosts such as discountasp.net and dotnetpark.com that host DNN for you.  The only problems I have seen with these are that some of them, while they do set up your portal for you as an install version, are not setting up to 3.2.2 and I have had some complaining from some of the modules (forum and gallery in particular) when using 3.2.1 but they seem to work fine in 3.2.1.  I am betting if you look in your SQL Server or MSDE you will find that some of your tables have not been written to either.

Just my two cents.
