How to detect choosen language in own module 

I want to make a multilanguage module in c#, my problem is how to detect the choosen language in the language selector.

I suppose you need to know which is the current language being used by the current user (whatever it is: authenticated or no).

This can be obtained usign:
System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture

which is in fact used in the method DotNetNuke.Services.Localization.Localization.GetCurrentCulture()
