Alternate display of Edit control of custom module...?
Hi all, Wow, I must say, it takes some getting used to but suddenly the penny drops and developing modules seems straight forward, as long as you pay attention to little things! This is an excellent framework! Quick question: The Edit control of my custom module(s) always show up as the only control of the page. I have a custom treeview module in the left pane and a text module in the right pane with the module-in-question in the content pane. When the user selects Edit from the menu, all modules on the page are hidden with only the Edit control for that module made visible. How can the Edit control be shown KEEPING the other modules on the page? ie: just swap it out with the View control and leave all else as-is... Thanks

Re: Alternate display of Edit control of custom module...?
Hi,
To achieve this, your Edit control can not be registered in DNN as an Edit control, and you can't use EditURL() to link to it.
If you give your Edit Control a different Key and Type property, and use NavigateURL() to create the link to it, it should work as you expect (but I must admit I'm typing this without tryin it first )

By the way: have you noticed these forums support the use of linefeeds in your posts? It increases readability and thus the time people take to answer your questions.

Greetz,
