Visual Studio 2000

I am using Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect Edition (at least that's what the CD's say)  I am assuming it is 2000 since the FP extensions shipped with the CD's is FP 2000.  So, my ? is i see that there is an area for 2003 and 2005, but can I also use the version I am using now?  If not, does this mean I am not going to be able to develope unless I go out and purchase an upgrade / replacement VS?  Is there anyone out there who is using VS .NET prior to version 2003?  And if so, is there anything special I have to do in order to develope with DNN 3.2.2 and / or 4.0.2?  .NET Framework 1.1 also shipped with the CD's.   Thanks.

Re: Visual Studio 2000

If you're using vs.net enterprise, then you either have vs.net 2002 (which uses.net 1.0) or vs.net 2003 (which uses .net 1.1). Both use FP 2000 as the method of creating virtuals and transferring files. I don't have a copy of those CD's handy, but there should be an indication which version it is (note:if they've been purchased in the past 2 years they're likely to be vs.net 2003). If you install it, it will be clear what version it it.

Re: Visual Studio 2000

thats a problem, as vs.net 2002 compiles to asp.net 1.0, but DotNetNuke requires asp.net 1.1 or higher, so if you wish to alter and recompile the core or develop modules you'll need a different IDE (you can still download the 1.1 framework for free from the microsoft site, if you aren't planning on doing development).  http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SD/Default.aspx or vb.net express are both free (theres a useful tutorial @ http://forums.asp.net/1114393/ShowPost.aspx demonstrating how to develop with vb.net express)
