Remove the "Settings" link from the module action menu

I want to be able to remove the settings link so if you are in a custom security level you will be able to see the dropdown box but the settings link will still be there. You would still be able to print or move the module but not access the settings. The settings link that is on the page needs to be removed as well.  Is this possible in dotnetnuke 3.2.1?

pleae help

Re: Remove the "Settings" link from the module action menu

I am not sure that I understand what you are trying to do.

The settings link is controlled by edit permissions to the module.  If you want to restrict the display of your specific settings control you could enforce further permissions requirements inside the control....

Re: Remove the "Settings" link from the module action menu

actually I gave up on that approach. What i need to do is create an Add button within my custom module. you know that if you are an admin for a module and you have the action menu and the first item is to add something new weather it be a link or a new announcement.  What i want to it create a link in my custom module using the functionality of the Add in the action menu. What is the code to call that ? I see the NavigateURL function but cannot figure out how to call it from an onclick of a link button or a button within a datagrid.

please help

Thanks

joe
