Second Connection to a Second Database

I'm putting together an application and set of modules that utilize a second database.  I am experiencing a transport-level error and am concerned that my web.config and SQLProvider programs may not be set up correctly.  Generally, the application runs well but the problems appear intermittently.  The following message appears when attempting to login as the SuperUser.  When I click login a second time the error disappears.

A critical error has occurred.
A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)

I would appreciate some feedback or reference to appropriate technical documentation to resolve the problem.

Regards,

Jack

Re: Second Connection to a Second Database

This sounds like a connection issue to the database.

I would ensure that your connection between the servers is a good one and that you are not having network connectivity issues.

Re: Second Connection to a Second Database

I finally figured it out, I had a huge database log file.
Once I cleared the logs from Dotnetnuke, the problem went away.

Hope this helps someone else
