Project Build Issues
Can someone please share with me how to setup a project so it will build properly?  I followed the tutorial in the documentation and I continually get errors about files being in use.  I have to close the solution, delete the files out of VSCache and restart IIS to get them available.  It will then rebuild once just fine and after that the errors return.

I found someone on here who said to eliminate "BuildSupport" and "DotNetNuke" from the build and this lets me build the solution just fine, but then I get reference errors from all the other modules saying "DotNetNuke reference is missing".

There has to be some way to setup the core project and add my new modules to it and get things to build properly and still be able to debug into my modules.  Are there any good tutorials on this?  I have a simple hello world module and I have still been unable to debug it or get it to work properly.

My setup consists of VS2003, DNN 3.2.2 and I am using the DotNetNuke VS2003 Project Templates from DNNJungle as referenced in the DNN documentation.

Thank you

- dm

Re: Project Build Issues
From time to time I'm seeing these problems too. If you go out Googling this problem, you'll find it's not DNN-related. some clues to help you:

You should make sure the Indexing Service is not indexing your project folder (you can configure the folder not to be indexed and you can stop the entire service).

Then, all references in your module projects to DNN or other modules should have the property "Copy Local" set to False.

Also, set those references to the project outputs, not to the bin folder. (For DNN, it's in Solutions\Dotnetnuke.Bin)

And finally, if nothing helps: http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/
