Re: Hide/Show Module programatically

This is a pretty general question so I will try my best.

If by show/hide you mean max/min, there is the client api's EnableMaxMin functions. These are the same as clicking the +/- buttons per module exposed in the containers [TITLE] token.

I am not sure why you would possibly want to add/delete a module programmatically but I am sure you have your reasons. As for this, I am not sure there is really a recommended way to do this because the user roles security model should handle this all for you. You should use the roles to handle who can and who cannot see a module.

Re: Hide/Show Module programatically

I will try to explain me, but my english is not so good.

I have a page with 2 panels (left & content) and 2 modules one on the left panel and one on the content panel.

Left Panel has a Module with a Menu items, for Example.
Then, when the user selects an item from the module of the left panel the module of the content must show the description of the item. BUT only when the user picks an item.  While the user not pick anything the module must be invisible.

NOTE: I mean hide/show no minimize/maximize.

A solution can be not to show the container... but, I need It BUT ONLY, when the user selects..

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Re: Hide/Show Module programatically
You need to either include all this as a single module or you need to set the content pane module to use querystring parameters to load the proper control. This requires lots of work and a dispatch type control in that module. Plus you need to attach the parameters to your custom menu links.
