Do I have to open all of the dotnetnuke solution to create a module?

Hi, I am trying to use the documentation, and when I open the DotNetNuke solution it takes forever just because of the sheer size of everything.

I just want to know if I can create a module with Visual Studio .NET 2003 without having to open every single thing in DNN.

Thank you.

Re: Do I have to open all of the dotnetnuke solution to create a module?

You can create a separate solution for your module and not open the DotNetNuke solutions. As long as you reference the DotNetNuke.dll assembly and create your module so it appears in the right place (i.e. in a sub-folder of DesktopModules), it will work.

I created a VS.net solution called "My Modules" that makes this easy. You can grab it from the Downloads page of my site after registering (Registered Users > Resources for DotNetNuke).
