Database update in PA - How?
I am developing a PA and this will need to have the database updated once every month or so. I would know how to this for myself, but if I market the PA, I would have to have a way for others to be able to do this too. I would like to have some inputs on this and maybe a brief description of howto.
The database is in MS SQL Server 2000 and I was thinking to distribute as a CSV file for download, but how do I read from a CSV file from within a module without setting ODBC settings (maybe I am just not aware of a way to do it in an easy way). Would I have to read the file as text and parse? This table has 42000 records with numerous columns (csv file is 6MB).
Any suggestions, guidance, or pointing me to the right direction would be appreciated,
noorbakhsh
