use OWC in customer DNN module !!
Hi all,
I am trying to build a customer dotnetnuke module that will use OWC11 (office web components) pivottables and chartspaces to show some data.
I have an application written in ASP.Net that already does this. I want to replicate the same inside a custom dotnetnuke module. I built a custom module without the OWC components and it works fine. but when I try to add the OWC component on the ASCX file and build hte solution i get a message saying 56 suceeded, 1 failed .. there are no error messages as to why the build failed.

I wanted to know if anyone has used OWC components in a custom DNN module and if so how ..
please help. i've been struggling on this for a long time now
thanks

Re: use OWC in customer DNN module !!
Look at the Output tab and scroll up until you see the failed project. There should be error messages there.

In theory, you should be able to use any control you can use anywhere else in .NET. I have yet to see one you can't (assuming you have all dependencies accounted for).

Re: use OWC and client side Webservice call in customer DNN module !!
Thanks for the hint.. I was able ot get the OWC component to show up in the module ... but now I have a different problem ..
I am using a client side webservice call behaviour for which i use the webservice.htc file .. again in my original aspx application I can simply add the following lines to make use of the webservice.htc file

however when I try to use the same in the ascx page it does not work .. how do I make it work??
Thanks once again.
