URL Control Usage

After doing a search for URL Control issues here and there (ASP.NET); there is little information available. I did discover how to implement and load the control with data from a stored procedure similar to the method used in the Documents project.

This left me really confused, since none of the suggestions worked. Until I discovered that the URL Control can not be filled using a postback. The only why I could get data into URLCtl.URL was on a page load. Postbacks left an previous selection in place or empty. So that left me thinking; since this control is a prime candidate for Callback technology will that be implemented and allow the control to be loaded with new data using a postback or callback?
