Need to filter user on registration by email address 

I am looking to extend the regsitration module and I need to do the following :

1. When a user regsters they are either ignored or accepted based upon their email domain ie XXXX@dnn.com

2. Also if they pass ie their email IS XXXX@dnn.com then I want to be able to add them on the spot to specific security role and send them a randomly generated password.

How do I do this ? Can anyone point me in the right direction , many thanks
